TRY THE BEST CHINESE SEAFOOD EATING HOUSE IN KARAK, PAHANG CARRIED BY THE YONG’s BROTHERS

Another small town in the East Coast, Pahang named “Karak” which also being generation passed onto lots of Chinese Traditional recipes and eateries since decades that still practised recently having great response from the visitors.  One of the best eating house recommended in Karak, the “Yauw Hou Food” chinese seafood restaurant by the Yong brothers since 2013 being found to be recognised.

The both locals originated brothers, Alrend Yong Chee Chong who born in year 1964 together with his younger brother CK Yong Chee Kwong (born 1969) were the founders and immediate owners of the well known “Yauw Hou Food Eating House” along Jalan Karak Permai, Karak serving their home recipes to the public on their more than 30 years experiences in the career.

Alrend Yong Chee Chong who at his age of 51 years old currently, initially stepped into the f&b industry since his age of only 16 years old in 1980 recruited himself into a chinese restaurant “Zhui Sin Lou”(pronouns) at Klang, Selangor as kitchen trainee where Alrend began to touch the career.  Later on in year 1989, he reached Singapore at his 25th to further his profession and to sharpen his chefing experience stayed more than 20 years there.

While CK Yong Chee Kwong who at his 46th currently, stepped into the industry at his age of 11 years old as shop helper in the “Yik Kee Restaurant” at hometown Karak also in 1980 spent 10 years there in the chinese cuisine & pastry field.  Then in year 1990 also reached Singapore joined the “Kwonton Seafood” as chef, too been reached Kuala Lumpur to further expose in year 2010 for his exposure in the industry.

With the same visions to have their own restaurant, and with the experiences hold by the brothers in the career enabled Alrend Yong and CK Yong returned to hometown Karak successfully established their very 1st and owned restaurant officially named “Yauw Hou Food Eating House” at Taman Karak Permai, Pahang in year 2013 introducing most of their signature eateries to the locals.

In this restaurant “Yauw Hou Food”, the Chef’s first top recommended in menus will be their Steamed Chicken with Ginger Paste.  Local village or “Kampung” chicken selected, prepared in cutted pieces in manner, followed by 15 minutes steamed topped with their homemade recipe ginger paste brings the best in town you must try when reached Karak, Pahang.  Especially the exotic taste into mouth and the chewing chicken meats texture itself in bites.

Secondly will be one of their authentic signature Yam Mix Platter or locally known as “Piu Hiong”, which insided with chicken wings.  Homemade yam paste rolled into round in shape, then deep fried with recipe flour and served insided with in-house 9 ingredients mixture sauce deep fried chicken wings will be the perfect match you cannot aside.  Taking the crispy deep fried yam paste with a bite of their exotic sweet & sour taste chicken wings is the best only in “Yauw Hou Food”.

Another will be their Dry Butter Milk Prawn, which among the top seller seafood selections in the restaurant.  Local fresh sea “Ming” prawn selected, prepared in deep fried, then served after seconds dry fried with deep fried egg & butter shredded you will never regret after tasted.  Fantastic prawn meats texture and the exotic eatery taken with the crispy & tasty egg butter shredded into mouth you will like it.

Moreover, they also famous with the Chinese Hakka traditional home recipe Yam with Belly Pork most wanted by the regulars.  Local pork belly boil-cooked, followed by deep fried, then streched the skin level before prepared in cutted slices and steamed nearly 2 hours (1 hour & 45 minutes) mixed into yam slices and homemade sauce from 6 spices brings very authentic chinese’s Hakka eatery favourite by the locals.

Nonetheless, the Yong brothers also introduced their Salted Egg Beancurd.  Homemade beancurd or “Tau Fu” made from mixtures of soya milk and chicken egg prepared in deep fried cubes, served topped with deep fried tasty salted egg yolk paste brings mouth watering dish selection you cannot missed when stepped into the “Yauw Hou Food Eating House” in Karak, Pahang.
