In one of the most historical township on Cameron Highland, the “Ringlet” since decade having lots of western cuisine houses and chinese coffee shops practised into generations still running on respective recipes. Among the best being found and recognised in Ringlet will be the “Golden Ship” carried by the Han Hainanese family since year 1990.
The local originated Mr. Han Jau Juan who born in year 1957, with his eldest sister Madam Han Poi Lee both were the initial founders and immediate owners of the well known recommended “Golden Ship Coffee House & Restaurant” along Ringlet main road running into 25 years, being assisted recently fully by younger sister Han Huey Lee and nephew Han Loong Kong who at his 39th recently serving their home recipe western & chinese cuisine to the locals and visitors under a roof.
Mr. Han Jau Juan who at his age of 58 years old currently, was grown up in a f&b family which parents since year 1950s running their coffee shop named “San Xing Kopitiam”(pronouns) at Ringlet. After ended the career, the Han family was most into Vegetables Trading Industry for years before re-stepped into the f&b industry.
With the vision to build up their career and been given opportunity to restructure their home base in Ringlet allowed the Han next generation Han Jau Juan with eldest brother Mr. Han Chew Juan, Han Poi Lee (eldest sister), Han Jau Juan (2nd brother), Han Sai Lee (2nd sister), Han Swee Lee (3rd sister) and other younger sisters in year 1990 established their family 1st owned “Golden Ship Coffee House & Restaurant” running with their “Golden Ship Motel”(ended 2010) along Ringlet Main Road, Cameron Highland.
Recently being fully incharge by the 9th sister Han Huey Lee, with the assistance by nephew Han Loong Kong, who stepped into the f&b career since his age of 25 in Singapore as General Manager in the “Sze Chuan Restaurant” and stayed 8 years experienced in the f&b management field. Later on returned to hometown Ringlet in year 2009 fully manage the family restaurant as next generation.
In Golden Ship, the owner’s first recommended in menus will be their Signature Beancurd which most wanted by visitors. Homemade beancurd with mixtures of fresh soya bean milk, pandan leaf and chicken egg, steamed cube in shape then served in deep fried and poured onto their home recipe sauce topped with dried shrimp and fried onions brings exotic salty taste you need to try when reached Ringlet, Pahang.
Secondly will be their Butter Milk Pumpkin, which is the best in town only in “Golden Ship”. Japanese Pumpkin selected, prepared in slices deep fried with recipe flour, then seconds dry fried with curry leaf and deep fried margarin shredded brings very crispy and tasty eatery you will never regret after tasted. Neither found elsewhere on the highland.
Another will be their Dry Fried Prawn, which among the restaurant’s top seller favourite by the visitors. Sea “Ming” prawn commonly selected, prepared in pan fried, then served after seconds dry fried with sweet soy sauce, sugar and spring onions shredded brings fantastic exotic salty & sweet taste you cannot aside.
Moreover, the Fried Bittergourd Mixed with Pumpkin will be among the restaurant’s signature most wanted by the regulars. Fresh bittergourd prepared in slices, fried with garlic and in-house recipes mixed into pumpkin slices brings very authentic veges sweet taste you ever found the best eatery in town.
Nonetheless, the owners also introduced their Shanghai Spare Ribs which served in boneless.
