The Cameron Highland, one of the Pahang’s best green highland spot, you can easily find lots of local Malays, Chinese and Western Cuisines restaurants practised everywhere on respective recipes. In “Habu”, a small town on the highland, we found and recognised one of the best chinese cuisine eating house “Sin See Wu” introducing their Chef Tan’s home recipe to the market, being strongly recommended.
The local Cameron Highland originated Mr. Tong Kit Leang who born in year 1967, together with wife Ms. Lee Yin Fun (born 1970) from Perak both were the initial founders and recent immediate owners of the well known “Sin See Wu Restaurant” serving most of their signatures to the locals and visitors since 2013 at Habu, Cameron Highland. Recently being assisted by eldest son Tong Tin Hong (born 1995).
Tong Kit Leang who at his age of 48 years old currently, initially touched the f&b industry in year 1997 at his 30th, with wife Yin Fun having their partnership noodle house at Bertam Valley, Cameron Highland where they began experienced the career but ended within a year. Later on running their Plantation Industry on the highland exposed more than 15 years.
While in year 2013, with the interest in eatery and foreseen the market opportunity in the f&b industry enabled Kit Leang again fully stepped into the career successfully established their very 1st chinese cuisine restaurant named “Sin See Wu Restaurant” along Jalan Felicia, Habu in assistance by their 40 years experiences Chef Tan who originated from Penang presenting all his recipes under a roof.
In “Sin See Wu”, the owners first top recommended in menus surely will be their Claypot Curry Fish Head which best to have especially on this colling highland. Deep sea grouper fish head commonly selected, boil-cooked in claypot with Chef’s homemade an hour fried curry paste made from more than 10 ingredients mixture, then served insided with lady finger, eggplant, long bean and tomato brings exotic salty & spicy curry taste you must have a try when reached Cameron Highland.
Secondly will be their Fried Dragon Mustache with Salted Egg, which among the highland local’s delicacy vegetable selection. Local planted fresh dragon mustache veges fried with salted egg yolk paste brings fantastic exotic taste eatery only found in Cameron Highland you cannot aside. Also the must order dish in the restaurant.
Another will be Chef Tan’s recipe Cantonese Stewed Pork Belly or locally known “Dong Po Yuk” which among signature. Local belly pork marinated overnight with in-house recipe, stewed an hour with chef’s more than 10 ingredients recipe then served taken sided with steamed chinese bun (Pao) will be the best in town you will never regret after tasted.
Moreover, their Pumpkin Beancurd also among the restaurant’s top seller most wanted by the regulars. Homemade beancurd prepared in steamed mixtures with soya milk and chicken egg, followed deep fried in cubes then served poured onto their home recipe paste made from Japanese Pumpkin brings exotic salty & sweet taste you will like it.
Nonetheless, the owners also introduced their best recommended Hawaii Baby Lamb Mutton which only in “Sin See Wu” by Chef Tan’s recipe. Imported baby lamb prepared in slices, marinated with home spices, followed in deep fried and served seconds fried with in-house sweet & sour sauce brings slight exotic spicy taste you cannot missed when stepped into the “Sin See Wu Restaurant” at Habu, Cameron Highland Pahang.
