One of our nation Malaysia’s delicacy eatery in favor by most of the visitors into taste, the “Curry Laksa”. The Penang originated Mr. Kent Ng Pio Son who born in year 1971 together with his lovely wife Ms. Jenny Chen Lai Yien (born 1972), who also the recipe’s 2nd generation, both were the founders and immediate owners of the local famous laksa eating house “Restoran Laksa Seremban” serving their home recipe curry laksa selections and signature menus to the locals and visitors. Recently being assisted by their eldest son Nigel Ng Pern Forn (born 1992), who stepped into the field at his age of 18.
Talking about their home recipe which since 1960s was began by Jenny’s parents Mr. Chen Nean Seng (born 1936) and Madam Ho Choi Ying (born 1939) running their roadside noodle stall in Seremban Township along Jalan Lee Sam. Where Jenny touched the industry since her age of about 9 years old helping parents in the food stall, and later on being generation passed onto their family laksa recipe.
While Kent Ng who at his age of 44 years old recently, was formerly in Mobile Industry initially stepped into the f&b career since year 2003 foreseen the market opportunity on his wife’s family laksa recipe allowed them firstly established their air-conditioning laksa restaurant at Kemayan Square, Seremban named “Restoran Laksa Seremban” introducing their homemade curry laksa and also some signature eateries to the public all in muslim manner.
In Laksa Seremban restaurant, the founders first top recommended in menus surely will be their Super Mix Curry Laksa which presents in 2 generation recipes with no pork (muslim food). Curry/sambal paste prepared in 3 hours in-house with nearly 30 ingredients mixture, then cooked for another 3 hours will be the main secret for “Laksa Seremban”. Soup base mixed into their in-house curry/sambal paste which added into coconut milk on customer’s request and served topped with boiled egg, crockles, dried beancurds, beancurd sheets, long beans, beansprouts and peanuts shredded will brings an authentic eatery you cannot aside.
Another will be their Dry Fried Rice Noodles or locally known “Char Kuey Teow”, which also among the signature most wanted by their regulars. Fried flat rice noodles on home recipe served mixed into fresh prawns, crockles, beansprouts topped with spring onions shredded brings very exotic taste you will never regret after taken. Especially the big fresh prawns and crockles meat in bites neither found elsewhere in the town.
Moreover, as side order you must taste their top seller “Fried Crockles” most wanted by visitors. Fresh selected big crockles stir fried with their 1&half hours home prepared sambal paste made from mixtures of 6 recipes brings unbelievable exotic spicy taste you will like it, especially for those who take spicy.
Nonetheless, the owners also introduced their Bittergourd Soup with Homemade Fish Paste which served in their chicken & fish boiled soup base with option into noodles on customer’s request you really cannot missed when stepped into the “Restoran Laksa Seremban” at Kemayan Square, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
