An eatery which came into nationwide well known and favourites by the local since year 1990s, recently being frequently practised everywhere in the nation on respective recipes. Among those recommended, we found and being recognised one of the best in town the “Bo Kee & You” or locally named “Bo Chai” fish head noodles restaurant in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan since 2010 by Wong couple.
The local originated Mr. Wong Weng Cheong who born in Seremban in year 1978, together with lovely wife You Lee Chu who originated from Melacca both were the initial founders and the recent immediate owners of the famous “Restoran Bo Kee & You” fish head specialized eating house introducing also their home recipe seafood and frog porridge to the public at Taman AST, Seremban.
Wong Weng Cheong (Bo Chai), also the restaurant’s chief chef cum owner, who at his age of 37 years old currently been stepped into the f&b industry since his 16th of age as part-timer helping in “Kaw Kee”(pronouns) along Jalan Templer, Seremban where he began in the career for about 2 years. Then recruited himself firstly as kitchen trainee in a chinese restaurant at his 18 years old spent another 10 years experienced in his chefing career before positioned as Chef.
With the experiences Bo Chai hold and wishing to expose further, in year 2009 allowed him to run his very first food stall at Jalan Lobak, Seremban began with seafood & fish porridge in a foodcourt, where his wife Lee Chu touched the industry helping husbamd in the food stall. Subsequent to the great response from the market enabled Bo Chai after nearly a year successfully established his very 1st and owned restaurant officially named “Restoran Bo Kee & You” along Jalan Sungai Ujong, Seremban serving fish head noodles, porridge and signature menus to the locals and visitors in a single lot, then expanded into 2 lots in 2011.
In this Bo Kee restaurant, the founders first top recommended in menus surely will be their Fish Head Noodles all with rice noodles or known “Mee Hoon”. Toman Fish commonly selected, marinated with their 4 recipes mixture prepared in golden deep fried, then served in 8 hours boiled fish bones soup base with in-house home recipe and mixed with tomatoes, salted veges & spring onions brings authentic eatery and the best fish head noodles you must try when reached Seremban.
Secondly will be their Hong Kong Steamed Fish Head, which also among the most wanted by their regulars in the restaurant. Local fresh “Sung” fish head selected, steamed 15 minutes, then poured onto their homemade sauce mixtures and topped with bean sauce, chilli padi, deep fried pork oily and marinated veges brings exotic taste you never regret after tasted. Especially the fish freshness itself and the fantastic taste into mouth you cannot aside.
Another signature which also recommended by owners will be their Steamed Snake Fish with Chinese Wine served in boneless. Or in order to emphasising the “Snake Fish” or locally known “Sang Yu” freshness taste itself, they commonly served in fresh steamed with only “Brands” chicken stock. Also some of their regulars will favourites with their Snake Fish steamed with home recipe sauce mixtures from 6 ingredients brings another eatery taste you can try.
Nonetheless, the founders also introduced their Frog Porridge which among the recommended porridge option in Bo Kee.
