One of the best worldwide famous chinese eatery originated from Malaysia, the Chinese Herbal Pork Ribs Soup or locally known “Bak Kut Teh” practised since years ago being recognised as the Klang, Selangor delicacy eatery most wanted by visitors but recently been frequently found everywhere in the nation.  Among the best we being found and recognised the “Yew Fu Bak Kut Teh” restaurant at Seremban, Negeri Sembilan carried by the Giam family, into 15 years.

The local originated Mr. Giam Kar Fook who born in year 1959, together with his wife Madam Cheah Poh Thai (born 1965) both were the founders and immediate owners of the well known “Restoran Yew Fu Bak Kut Teh” eating house at Era Walk, Seremban serving their home recipe cuisines and claypot bak kut teh recipes to the public since year 2000.  Recently being assisted by daughters Giam Yoke Kee (born 1997), Giam Mee Kee (born 1998) and youngest son Giam Ming Kang (born 2001) as their probably next generation on the recipes.

Mr. Giam Kar Fook who at his age of 56 years old currently, been initially stepped into the f&b industry since his age of only 14th in year 1973 at Seremban joined the “New Hong Kong” chinese restaurant began as kitchen trainee.  Then being reached Kuala Lumpur, Sabah and Singapore to further exposed in the chinese cuisine career, positioned as Chef at his 20s of age.

In year 1996, Kar Fook has established his very first owned chinese seafood restaurant with wife Poh Thai in hometown Seremban named “Tian Chu Restaurant”, but unfortunately ended shortly due to economic circumstances.  Later in year 2000 running his very owned home recipe bak kut teh food stall at Bukit Kepayang, Seremban where he started to touched the Bak Kut Teh field stayed 5 years in the foodcourt before moved into a shoplot in 2007 at Oakland Commerce Square, Seremban 2 named “Yew Fu Bak Kut Teh”.

 

With great response from the market and wishing to continue his exposure in the industry, Kar Fook in year 2008 successfully expanded into the recent location at Era Walk, Seremban and officially known “Restoran Yew Fu Bak Kut Teh”.

In this restaurant, the founder’s first top recommended in menus surely will be his Claypot Bak Kut Teh Soup.  Soup base boiled an hour with 10 chinese herbals mixture together with pork bones, meats and internal parts such pork ribs, belly pork, lean meat, tail, trotter, stomach and intestine brings authentic eateries taste you must try.  Served boiled in claypot topped with dried beancurd, beancurd sheet and veges will be their complete pot of delicious bak kut teh.

Secondly will be their home recipe Dry Bak Kut Teh, which cooked in claypot on 4 minutes dry-fried.  Mixtures of belly pork and lean meat, or options on customer’s request fried with their in-house herbal soup base and soy sauce, mixed into dried cuttlefish, lady finger, onion, dried chilli and garlic brings sweet, salty & slight spicy taste you will never regret after tasted.

Another will be one of the restaurant’s famous signature favourites by their visitors, the Claypot Rice Wine Chicken.  Chicken prepared in cutted pieces, dry-fried in claypot with onion, ginger, spring onion and their home recipes mixture, then served with poured into slight rice wine really brings exotic tasty eatery best in town you cannot aside.

Moreover, they also have their family traditional homemade recipe Pork Trotter with Peanuts which among the restaurant’s top seller.  Local fresh pork trotter braised an hour on Giam’s recipe mixtures, served boiled in claypot with topped onto stewed peanuts which cooked separately brings authentic choice you will need to taste.  Neither found elsewhere other than in here “Yew Fu”.

Nonetheless, the owner also introduced their signature Stewed Pork Ribs with Bittergourd.  Fresh ribs prepared in deep fried, then stewed 25 minutes in recipes sauce made from mixture of soy sauce, oyster sauce and salt, finally served boiled in claypot mixed with bittergourd, dried chilli and garlic will be an exotic homemade dish you cannot missed when stepped into the “Restoran Yew Fu Bak Kut Teh” at Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
