STILL FOUND THE TRADITIONAL CHARCOAL ROASTED MIX BY “LOONG SENG” IN JOHOR BHARU

“Charcoal Roasted”, one of the authentic traditional cantonese eatery taken by chinese religious since decades ago.  Been also among the local’s famous favourites by the Malaysians and visitors in our nation.  Here in the south, we found and being recognised one of the best roasted mix eating house “Loong Seng” in Johor still running their charcoal roasted mix by Chong family.

The local Johor originated Mr. Chong Yong Siew who born in year 1985, was the founder and immediate owner of the recommended “Loong Seng Restaurant” in Johor Bharu recently serving his charcoal roasted recipes to the market on his 15 years experiences in the career, and being recognised as the best in year 2016.

Chong Yong Siew who at his age of 31 years old currently, been touched the f&b industry since his age of only 13 years old in 1998 helping father Mr. Chong Tuck Siong at their family Mee Hun Kueh noodle stall in hometown Layang-Layang, Johor for about few years.  Later on joined cousin in Singapore at his 17th in 2002, where Yong Siew began to step into the roasted mix career spent 11 years there.

While in year 2013, Yong Siew returned to Malaysia and running his very first food stall in Gelang Patah introducing his cantonese roasted mix, having great response from the public.  In order to expose further in the industry and with the supports from father allowed him to established his roasted eating house at Taman Bukit Indah, Nusajaya in year 2014 named “Loong Seng Restaurant” with single lot then expanded into two lots after a year.

In Loong Seng Roasted, the founder’s first top recommended among signature will be their Roasted Duck.  Local feeded duck with weight of about 2.7-2.8kg, marinated with home recipes mixed with herbals, followed by charcoal roasted about 45 minutes brings authentic exotic taste you must try when reached Johor.  Especially the crispy skin layer and the duck’s juicy meats in bites.  Taken tipping onto their in-house prepared salty & sweet sauce made from 9 ingredients mixture will be the best in town.

Secondly will be their Roasted Chicken, which also the restaurant’s top seller recently.  Feeded chicken prepared after marinated with home recipes mixture, roast for 15 minutes then deep fried for another 10 minutes to bring best bites texture on skin layer and maintain juicy meats into mouth, finally served poured onto their homemade soy sauce mixture brings excellent eatery you cannot aside.

Another will be their Crispy Roasted Pork Belly, also among the restaurant’s signature selection.  Belly pork selected, marinated half an hour with Yong Siew’s secret 4 recipes mixture, then prepared after an hour charcoal roasted really brings unbelievable crispy skin in bites and chewing meats texture you will never regret after tasted.  Neither found better elsewhere, only in “Loong Seng” mentioned by the founder’s father Mr. Chong.

Surely, if talking about Loong Seng’s roasted mix must not missed their Roasted Pork or locally known Char Siew.  Selected belly part prepared in 6 recipes marinated, roasted above charcoal for about 40 minutes, then served in cutted pieces poured onto the original sauce obtained from the roasting process itself brings the best Char Siew in town.

Nonetheless, the owner Yong Siew also taken the opportunity to introduce their Boiled Rice which is an important matching when taking roasted mix.  Their home cooked rice mixed into onions, garlic, ginger and pandan leaf you should cannot missed when stepped into this “Loong Seng Restaurant” roasted mix specialized house at Taman Bukit Indah, Johor Bharu.
