The local Johorean Mr. Eng Kok Seng who born in year 1960, was the founder and together with son Eng Kang Hong (born 1982) both are the immediate owners of the recommended “Devetop Nine Three Three Restaurant” salted chicken specialized house running at Johor Bharu introducing their more than 10 years home recipes having great response from the southern currently.
Eng Kok Seng who at his age of 56 years old recently, was formerly in Entertainment Industry initially touched the f&b industry in China year 1994 when tasted the local traditional authentic salted chicken recipe enabled him foreseen the market opportunity in Malaysia and brought into his hometown Johor successfully established his very first f&b career in year 2001 where he began fully stepped into the career running “Mewah Lai Lai Restaurant” at Taman Sri Tebrau serving his salted chicken made using ingredients imported from China.
While son Kang Hong who from the beginning helping father in the restaurant, started to fully step into this industry in year 2015. Later on, in order to further expose in the career and better satisfying the locals and visitors allowed them recently served all their salted chicken on modified home recipe and re-named the restaurant as “Devetop Nine Three Three Restaurant” or locally known “933 Salted Chicken” remain at the same location and being recognised as one of the best eating house 2016 in the south region.
In this 933 restaurant, the founder firstly introduced their “Homemade Salted Chicken” all prepared using village feeded chicken or locally known the “Kampung Chicken” with weight of about 1.5kg. Marinated for about 20 minutes with main ingredient imported all the way from China added with salt, herbal and other 10 ingredients mixture to bring their authentic salted chicken taste you must try when reached Johor Bharu.
Secondly after marinated, chicken braised in their in-house 15 years soup base recipe for another 20 minutes before served to bring the best chicken meat’s texture in bites, and allowed recipes taste been absorbed into the chicken itself that you will never regret after taken. According to the founder Mr. Eng, 50 chickens can be braised in a time cooked in their soup base prepared to meet the market demand.
