TASTE THE 3-GENERATION AUTHENTIC “GOOD TASTE” WANTAN NOODLES EXPOSED INTO CHAIN CONCEPT

Talking about “Wantan Mee” or formerly known by the chinese “Tok-Tok Mee” since decades ago which originated from China being famously taken by the Malaysians locals and favourites by those who visit our nation recently.  Here in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, we found and successfully recognised one of the best 3 generation “Good Taste” (Kam Kee) wantan noodles specialized restaurants running into chain concept by the Lee’s family.

The Pahang originated Mr. Lee Kit Fong who born in year 1955, was the 2nd generation on their home recipe wantan noodles and was the immediate founder of the recommended “Good Taste Restoran”, been generation passed onto recipes from father late Mr. Lee.  And recently being continued exposed by sons Mr. Wilson Lee (born 1981) and Mr. Willoon Lee (born 1984), who also the current owners of the restaurants introducing family’s recipes widely to the market.

Late Mr. Lee (1st generation), who reached Malaysia from hometown Guangdong, China been started his homemade wantan noodles in Pahang initially, then stepped into as Chinese Physician (Chinese Doctor) ended his f&b career.  While Lee Kit Fong (2nd generation) who at his age of 61 years old today, was formerly in Agriculture Industry stepped into the f&b industry since year 2003 again brought into the market his father’s wantan noodles recipe began running a food stall in UEP Subang Jaya (USJ) then moved to Subang Jaya presenting his wantan mee and curry mee.

In year 2007, Lee Kit Fong successfully established his very first and owned noodle house continued to expose further in Bandar Mahkota Cheras named “Good Taste Restoran” to serve the visitors in better manner.  While in year 2012, Kit Fong’s sons Wilson Lee and Willoon Lee who touched the career since kids helping father in the restaurant, both all the while in Steel Industry, in order to continue family’s recipes and with mission to expose further, been took over the family career and bodied-up with their group business development consultant Mr. Jeffrey Lee occupied into the 9th outlets currently in 3 years time.

In Good Taste Restoran, the owners’ first top recommended in menus surely will be their grandfather’s home recipe signature Good Taste Wantan Mee (Pork Dumpling Noodles) which emphasising the traditional authentic taste using homemade egg-made noodles with best bites texture.  Served topped with roasted pork slices (char siew) and sided with bowl of their handmade pork dumpling (wantan) will be the best complete set of wantan mee neither elsewhere found better in town.  Especially the noodles itself mixed with their more than 10 ingredients mixture sauce and pork oil brings exotic salty taste you must try when reached Kuala Lumpur.

While in breakfast selection, you cannot aside their famous Charcoal Roasted Bread which favourites by most of their regulars.  Hainanese homemade breads selected, roast few minutes swipped with butter above flaming charcoal, then served insided with hainanese coconut paste (Kaya) and butter brings really traditional authentic eatery you never regret after tasted.

Another will be their Herbal Duck Drumstick Noodles, which among the restaurant’s top seller recently.  Duck drumsticks prepared in oil-fried, followed by about 3 hours steamed in their in-house 7 secret ingredients herbal soup, then served sided with plate of their soy sauce wantan noodles (kon lo mee) will be the perfect match you neither found the same in town.  Excellent herbal soup taste when swallowed into mouth and the duck meat’s texture itself in bites.

Moreover, the Lee brothers also recommended their signature Claypot Lou Shu Fun (rice noodles) which differ from others.  Mixtures of pork minced, prawn, meatball and rice made noodles (lou shu fun) boil-cooked in claypot itself with home sauce recipes then served finally topped with chicken egg brings exotic eatery you should try.

Nonetheless, the owners also taken the opportunity to introduce one of their regular’s favourites Roasted Mix such roasted pork belly (siew nyuk), roasted pork (char siew), roasted chicken and roasted duck which served either sided with rice or their wantan mee you cannot missed when stepped into “Good Taste Restoran” in Kuala Lumpur and State of Selangor.
