FIND THE AUTHENTIC HOME-COOKED CHINESE CUISINES BY TAN’s RECIPES IN “NEW PENG WAH”

There are lots of chinese or seafood restaurants recently easily found everywhere presenting their cuisine menus on respective recipes.  But here in the centre of our nation, at Kuala Lumpur and state of Selangor we found and successfully recognised one of the best recommended chinese restaurant “New Peng Wah” serving most of their traditional home-cooked dishes under a roof to the market since year 2012.

The Johorean Mr. Paul Tan Yong Hwee who originated from Muar born in year 1975 was the founder, together with wife Ms. Julian Soo Yan Fei (born 1976) both are the immediate owners of the well known “Restoran New Peng Wah” chinese cuisine restaurant running both outlets in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor introducing their home recipes to the market mannerly.

Paul Tan Yong Hwee who at his age of 41 years old recently, was formerly more than 10 years been in Audio Visual Industry initially stepped into the f&b industry in year 2012.  With the recipes hold by his uncle Jimmy Tan, who also the owner of “Restoran Peng Wah” at Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya in 1970s, added with Paul’s foreseen the market opportunity in the f&b career allowed him established his very first and owned restaurant named “New Peng Wah” at SS22, Damansara Jaya, initially assisted by uncle Jimmy Tan on his recipes at very beginning.

Due to great response from the visitors on their traditional authentic home-cooked dishes and in order to expose further in the career, Paul successfully in year 2014 began his another outlet at Taman Desa, Kuala Lumpur continued introducing his family’s recipes widely to suit the market.  And being recognised as one of the best chinese cuisine restaurant in year 2016.

According to the recent owner Mr. Paul Tan, the restaurant’s first top recommended among menus will be their Signature Deep Fried Ma-Yao Fish (Senangin) which generation passed onto recipes by uncle Jimmy Tan.  Local fresh sea Ma-Yao fish prepared in crispy deep fried, served poured onto their in-house homemade soy sauce mixture and topped with deep fried crispy ginger shredded brings the best in town you must try.  Especially the crispy and freshness fish meats taste into mouth, also the exotic soy sauce taste matching.

Secondly will be their Signature Steamed Tilapia with Nyonya Sauce, which from the owner Paul’s recipes favourites by the regulars.  Local feeded Tilapia fish selected, steamed for about 9 minutes, then served poured onto their home recipe nyonya sauce homemade from 9 ingredients mixture, topped with some red chillies, beans, lady fingers and onions shredded brings sweet, sour & spicy taste you will never regret after tasted.  Neither found better elsewhere in town.

Another will be their Signature Potato Fried Pork, which also recipes from Paul’s uncle initially since 1970s is an authentic home-cooked selection for chinese.  Potato prepared in cutted slices in 2mm each, followed by deep fried, then stew-fried with fresh local pork slices for another few minutes mixed into soy sauce, pepper etc brings very traditional chinese dish you cannot aside.

Moreover, Paul also recommended one of their restaurant’s top seller, the Signature Lala Soup on his recipes.  Lala clams imported from either Indonesia or Phillippines selected, cooked with their 3 hours boiled soup base from mixtures of chicken, pork bones, ginger and herbals then served in pot brings really tasty and excellent clams freshness into mouth which serves limited daily.

Nonetheless, the owner also taken the opportunity to introduce their Signature Choi Heong Taufu (Beancurd) which among the visitors most wanted when stepped into either outlet of this “Restoran New Peng Wah” chinese cuisine restaurants in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
