The local originated Mr. Chia Kwang Tiang who born in year 1957, was the founder and together with his wife Madam Ng Siam Hiang (born 1958, Johorean) are the immediate owners of the recommended “Sungei Wang Ampang Yong Tau Foo” eating place introducing their handmade yong tau foo selections to the public since year 2002, also recently being assisted by their 2nd generation Steven Ong Kok Gui (born 1984) in 2 branches in Singapore.

Chia Kwang Tiang who at his age of 59 years old currently, been touched the f&b industry since year 1987 at his 30th under-employed as workers in a food manufacturing factory, then initially stepped into the career in year 1998 began his very first and owned noodle stall in “Jeffery Corner” serving his fried prawn noodles, and where his wife Siam Hiang joined him into the industry.

While in year 2002, Kwang Tiang and wife been given opportunity reached Ampang, Malaysia spent months to take up the Malaysia’s authentic famous Ampang Yong Tau Foo recipes allowed them returned to home country established their “Sungei Wang” Ampang Yong Tau Foo eating stall firstly at Woodland, Singapore in the same year.  Then moved to Ang Mo Kio after a year, later in Yishun.  Year 2005 running at Siglap, then Suntec, been also Beach Road and finally standed at Telok Ayer as main in China Square Food Center still running recently.  Also another branch at Tanjong Pagar in AXA Tower since year 2012.

 

In this Sungei Wang Ampang Yong Tau Foo, the founder’s first top recommended in menus surely will be their homemade fish yong tau foo selections of more than 60 choices can be served in deep fried and boil-cooked.  Each yong tau foo handmade inserted with their 100% fresh fish paste made daily brings the best freshness and exotic eatery you must try when reached Singapore.

Among the signature, their “Ampang Yong Tau Foo” which served poured onto with their home recipe gravy sauce you cannot aside.  Homemade sauce prepared from 8 ingredients mixture, then boiled added into chicken egg shredded to smoothen the eatery into mouth you neither found better elsewhere.  Especially taken with their best yong tau foo options such eggplant, red chilli, white beancurd, beancurd sheet, Otak-otak etc, all brings excellent bites texture you need to try.

Another will be their “Laksa” which prepared from their homemade laksa paste made from mixtures of 8 ingredients on the founder Mr. Chia’s recipe.  Also their “Tom Yam” which served boiled with noodles and yong tau foo selections on customer’s choices you will never regret after tasted here.
