Later at his age of 20th in year 1977 Joon Chin fully stepped into the career and running his roadside stall along China Street began to serve his family’s home recipe hainanese porridge, then moved into a hawker centre in 1980s.
In order to explore and to go further in the f&b industry, Joon Chin made his career stayed into the Maxwell Road Food Centre in the end 1980s, then in year 1991 established his very owned “Zhen Zhen Porridge” with assisted by wife Lai Fong, where she firstly stepped into the career helping husband continue to introduce their better hainanese porridge menus to the locals and visitors. Also being visited and wanted by various of the f&b media and blogger from around the world allowed them to be recognised as one of the best porridge stall on the island.
