Chen Qiuying who only at her age of 39 years old currently, a Hainanese, who reached Singapore in year 2006 initially touched the f&b industry since 2009 helping husband in their satay bee hoon stall at Serangoon Garden all the while serving their family’s home recipes being passed onto her husband Meng Lee as 3rd generation.  In order to go further in the career and wishing to let the locals taste her family’s traditional home recipe hainanese beef noodles, allowed Qiuying to fully stepped into the career started to introduce her “Ah Mai Hainan Beef Noodles” made it available in their stall recently.

While Quek Meng Lee who at his 46th recently, who grown up in a f&b family been touched the industry since kids helping family in their satay bee hoon stall.  His grandfather late Mr. Quek Da Soon, the founder, who began his satay bee hoon mobile stall in early 1960s later being passed onto son Mr. Quek Hang Mong (born 1938), who are Meng Lee’s father as 2nd generation in late 1960s then running their food stall at Serangoon Garden since year 1973.  In year 1994, Meng Lee took up the full responsibility to continue family’s home recipes established his owned stall in Chomp Chomp Food Centre running to date.

In this “Ah Mai Hainan Beef Noodles”, the owner Qiuying’s first top recommended in menus surely will be her family’s traditional Hainanese Beef Noodles served in soup gravy.  Soup base or gravy boiled at least an hour with ikan bilis, yellow/soy beans, pork borns added with her 4 home recipes mixture served in bowl with boil-cooked rough round rice-made noodles (rough bee hoon), then served topped with her home prepared marinate-fried beef slices in pieces, peanuts, salted veges and onions brings a bowl of traditional Hainanese Beef Noodles you must try.

Nonetheless, Meng Lee also taken the opportunity to introduce his family’s 3 generations Satay Bee Hoon which favourites by most of their regular visitors having 50 years history since 1960s.  The satay sauce/paste which prepared fully in-house with mixtures of garlics, onions, dried shrimps, carob nuts & belacan fried at least 1&half hours then into peanut shredded will be their Quek’s family secret recipe satay paste/sauce taste exotic with slight spicy neither found better elsewhere in town.

Homemade satay paste/sauce poured onto boil-cooked fine rice noodles (bee hoon) then served topped with fresh prawn, cuttlefish, pork slice, cockle, kangkong vege and dried beancurd brings a complete plate of their half century Quek family’s Satay Bee Hoon you cannot missed when stepped towards this “Ah Mai Hainan Beef Noodles & Satay Bee Hoon” in Chomp Chomp Food Centre at Serangoon Garden, Singapore.
