Alan Yap, the founder, who also the eating house’s main Chef initially stepped into the f&b industry in year 1978 at his age of 23rd running his very first noodle stall presenting his homemade “Pan Mee”, later-on exposed into shoplot at Sunway then Hartamas named “House of Pan Mee” stayed 4 years in the field before entering the Construction Industry afterwards.
With his great interest in eatery & chefing, also foreseen the market opportunity in f&b industry allowed Alan Yap to re-step into the f&b career in year 2006 began his roasted mix food stall at Sunway, Petaling Jaya introducing his self-home-recipe cantonese roasted menus to the market. From there, Alan also being touched the hainanese chicken rice that having great response from his visitors made him confidently started his hainanese chicken rice stall where the name “Ah Yoke” existed at Taman Mayang in year 2009. Then expanded into specialized shop at USJ, Subang officially named “Ah Yoke Authentic Hainanese Chicken Rice”, recently moved to SS23, Taman Sea since year 2017.
In “Ah Yoke” chicken rice shop, the founder Alan’s first top recommended in menus surely will be their “Authentic Hainanese Chicken Rice”. Local feeded free-range chicken (Ayam Kampung) with weight of 2.5-2.8kg selected, boil-cooked in about 25 minutes then served with soya sauce poured onto and taken tipping onto their home prepared ginger paste & chilli paste you must try when reached Selangor. Especially the free-range chicken exotic taste itself into mouth & the meat’s texture in bites. Taken sided with a plate of their in-house boiled chicken-oil rice will be the perfect matching best in town.
Secondly will be their “Pepper Stomach Soup”, which among the signature soup selections in the restaurant favourite by their regulars. Cleaned pig’s stomach boiled in soup base for at least 2 hours with pepper seeds, chicken feets & pork intestines, then served hotly in bowl brings unbelievable slight spicy & stomach freshness taste and pig’s stomach bites texture you will never regret after tasted here.
Another will be their “Braised Pork Belly”, which most wanted by the visitors that on limited serves daily. Fresh belly pork selected, braised 2&half hours with Alan’s home secret recipe mixtures of 4 ingredients brings excellent swallowed eatery into mouth without oily. Served sided with a braised chicken egg to be the complete plate of “Ah Yoke Braised Pork Belly” neither found better in town.
In noodles corner, the owner also introduced among their famous “Penang White Curry Mee Soup”. In-house curry paste prepared in 2&half hours with more than 10 spices ingredient mixture, then boiled with soup base and served topped with roasted pork belly (siu yuk), dried beancurd, beansprouts etc brings exotic slight tasty spicy taste into mouth likes by those who take spicy or curry.

Very dishonest. Don’t ever let them convince you to add order for pig stomach soup etc. which is sooo expensive. Eg chicken rice is RM 7.50 and that stupid soup is RM 10.00 and this is just for 1 person.
