“Sarawak Laksa” or locally known Kuching’s Laksa is among the well known Sarawak’s local delicacy eatery which taken by the locals since decade ago, recently also being one of the favourite choice in the west nation that totally different from the west’s Curry Laksa practised everywhere. Unbelievable, here in Selangor we found and successfully recognised the best 1960s Sarawak Kuching’s Laksa recipe carried by the “Aunty Christina” into the 3rd generation.

The Sarawakian Madam Christina Jong Fui Jin (born 1952) was the immediate founder, currently together with her son Kelvin Chin Joon Kar (born 1986) both are the owners of this recommended best “Aunty Christina Laksa” noodle house running at Sea Park, Petaling Jaya presenting their very authentic homemade Sarawak Kuching’s Laksa and other home recipe menus to the visitors under a roof having about 20 years history.

Madam Jong Fui Jin or “Aunty Christina”, who at her age of 66 recently, was grown-up in a f&b family and been touched the industry since her teenage helping mother late-Madam Wong who running her homemade laksa stall in Kuching, Sarawak in 1960s, still operating today by next generation along Jalan Song, Kuching.

While Aunty Christina who have great interest to expose her mother’s home recipe, initially stepped into the career in year 1998 running her very 1st Sarawak Laksa stall in Lucky Garden, Bangsar stayed 18 years there where the name “Aunty Christina Laksa” in existance and later-on being re-nowned in the market as one of the best laksa that totally taste different from the west’s laksa selections. With her son Kelvin’s encouragement allowed them to successfully established their very owned “Aunty Christina Laksa” noodle house at Sea Park, Petaling Jaya in year 2017 continue serving their family’s more than 50 years Sarawak Kuching’s Laksa recipes to the public in manner.

In this noodle house, the founder’s first top recommended in menus surely will be their hometown traditional authentic home recipe “Aunty Christina Laksa” or known Sarawak Kuching’s Laksa. In-house laksa paste prepared from Sarawak imported raw laksa paste & Christina’s 7 secret ingredients mixture, then boiled whole day long with home chicken soup base, finally served with recommended China imported rough mee hoon (rice noodles) & topped with fresh shrimp, fried chicken egg shredded, beansprouts and chicken shredded meats brings the ever best Sarawak Laksa you must try. Especially the laksa soup taste itself when swallowed into mouth, and the perfect matching in taken tipping onto their homemade “Sambal Paste” which made from mixtures of Sarawak local Belacan & dried shrimp.

Secondly will be their “Signature Kolo Mee”, which also among the Sarawak’s famous local noodle eatery most wanted by the locals. Sarawak’s recipe flour-made noodles boil-cooked, mixed with soya sauce then served topped with home prepared pork lard, garlic & spring onions shredded, roasted pork slices (char siew), fish cake and minced pork bring a complete bowl of their Sarawak Kolo Mee you neither found better elsewhere.

Another will be their “Dry Curry Chicken Kolo Mee”, which newly introduced by the owner Aunty Christina that favourite by their regulars recently. Homemade curry paste made with Christina’s more than 10 spices ingredient mixture, then boiled at least half hour with potato cubes and chicken drumstick and finally served topped onto their kolo mee brings exotic curry taste into mouth and excellent chicken meat’s texture in bites you cannot aside.

Beside noodles, Aunty Christina also presenting her home recipe “Kacangma”, which also among the Sarawak’s local Chinese herbal traditional eatery taken by Sarawakians since decade ago that believed to bring healthy. Fresh chicken drumstick chopped into cube pieces, boil-cooked with matured ginger, rice wine & selected chinese herbals brings authentic ginger and herbal taste you never regret after tasted.

Nonetheless, the founder Aunty Christina also taken the opportunity to introduce her Special Sarawak Laksa topped with deep-sea “Ming” prawn and her home recipe Traditional Hakka Yam Abacus which on limit serves daily you cannot missed when stepped into this Sarawak’s recipe noodle house “Aunty Christina Laksa” at Sea Park, Petaling Jaya (Selangor).
