THE 60 YEARS (3-GENERATIONS) AUTHENTIC HOME RECIPES CHINESE CUISINE LEADER “SIN TECK HUAT”

There are thousands of chinese cuisine restaurants around the nation all presenting on respective recipes, introducing their famous signature menus to the market in manner nowadays. Here in Jementah, Johor we found and successfully recognised the first leading traditional/authentic chinese cuisine eating house “Sin Teck Huat” running into their 3rd generation recently having more than half decade history exposed in town  since year 1960s.

The local originated late Mr. Chua Wai Teck (1912-1993), also the founder, began his very traditional chinese cuisine eating place named “Teck Huat” along Jalan Muar, Jementah in year 1960s serving all his home recipe selections to the locals. Later-on officially registered as “Sin Teck Huat” in year 1978 on the same ground.

While Mr. Chua/Chan Kim Cha (born 1959), the 2nd generation, together with his wife Madam Wang Ah Choo (born 1961) both are the current owners of this best recommended chinese cuisine eating house “Restoran Sin Teck Huat” at Taman Sejati, Jementah presenting all their signature home recipes selection to the locals & visitors in better environment. Also being assisted by son Ivan Chua/Chan Meng Ee (born 1982) and daughter Tiffany Chan Pei Ying (born 1989), both as 3rd generation.

Chan Kim Cha, the restaurant’s main chef cum recent owner, who at his age of 59 years old currently began to touch the career since kids helping father (Chua Wai Teck) in their eating house in Jementah oldtown. Where Kim Cha experienced the field, then positioned as chef at his 14th of age and been taken up the responsibility to continue family’s career since year 1985. With his vision to further their exposure in the career, added with his great interest & foreseen the market opportunity in the f&b industry allowed him in year 2003 moved into wider & better environment shoplots at Taman Sejati still running unchanged “Restoran Sin Teck Huat” to today.

In this Sin Teck Huat, the owner Kim Cha’s very first top recommended in menus will be their famous “Chang Jiang Pork Ribs” which neither found better in town. Local fresh whole pork ribs belly stick selected, marinated few hours on their secret recipes followed by deep fried, then steamed for another hour before going for 2nd stage deep fried to keep the meat’s juicy, finally stir-fried in seconds with their home-mixed roasted sauce and served sided with chinese buns brings excellent barbeque roast taste & smooth sweet into mouth. Also the rib’s bites texture and meat’s juicy favourite by most of their regular customers all the while.

Secondly will be their signature “Butter Milk Prawn”, which among the restaurant’s daily top seller recently wanted by the visitors. Sea ‘Ming’ prawn commonly selected, prepared uncoated, marinated with recipes & floured-up, followed by deep fried then wok-fried with mixtures of butter, fresh/carnation milk, homemade pumpkin paste and finally served sided with fresh veges & pineapple cubes brings wonderful exotic creamy sweet gravy swallowed into mouth. And the prawn’s freshness & chewing bites texture itself you neither found the same elsewhere in town.

Another will be their “Curry Talapia Fish”, which among the king of the ‘steamed fish’ menus in Sin Teck Huat. Local feeded Talapia Fish with 1kg weight commonly selected, steam-cooked in about 10 minutes, then served poured onto their homemade curry paste sauce (made in-house from more than 10 ingredients mixture) mixed with eggplants,  lady fingers & dried beancurd sheets brings unbelievable best authentic curry taste with fair spicy you will never regret after tasted here.

Nonetheless, the owners also introduced their homemade “Signature Dragon Mustache Taufu” (Beancurd). In-house prepared beancurd steamed-made from soy beans & chicken egg, cutted into rectangular cubes and deep fried, then served poured onto their home recipe seafood broth sauce and topped with ‘dragon mustache’ made of deep fried cuttlefish shredded brings smooth beancurds and amazing dried cuttlefish taste into mouth that you really cannot missed when stepped into this 3-generations 60 years history authentic chinese cuisine eating house “Restoran Sin Teck Huat” at Jementah, Johor.
